General Terms of Use

The Compassion Collective is a great way for you to use your voice to help to release more children from poverty in Jesus’ name. This online community is bound by these terms of use and all relevant regulations and laws (including local laws). We ask that you remove yourself from the Compassion Collective if you disagree with any of these terms.

Internet Etiquette

The Compassion Collective has rules and etiquette for posting comments or materials within the community. Compassion Collective members should be considerate of the sensitivities and expectations of others

Using Discussion Boards and Other Forums

Discussions, idea boards and other forums are for you and other Compassion Collective members to share your thoughts about your experience of Compassion and help us to explore new ways to release children from poverty in Jesus’s name. We want to ensure that all comments and materials posted in a board are respectful, inclusive, confidential and relevant. Accordingly, the following terms apply:

• You must always respect the comments of others. You may not deliberately provoke another user or intentionally disrupt a conversation in a manner which negatively affects another user
• You must always use respectful and appropriate language. Disrespectful or inappropriate language such as language which is or involves swearing, profanity, bullying, racism, intimidation or hate speech is not permitted.
• You must not post comments or material which are false or misleading or defame another person or organisation.
• You must not post comments or material which violates the rights of another person (including their right to privacy), or discloses information which puts, or may put, a person (including yourself) at risk.
• You must only post material which you own. Subject to these terms, you may post material owned by another person if you have the consent of that person (including the consent of any copyright owner), or if the material is in the public domain.
• You must not post or transmit any unsolicited advertisement or promotional material or post or transmit spam or content that impersonates Compassion Australia.
• You must not post any material which contains viruses or other computer codes, files or programs which are designed to limit or destroy the functionality of other computer hardware or software.
• We will review and monitor comments and materials which are posted. At our discretion, we may remove any comment or material posted which breaches these terms, or which we otherwise consider to be inappropriate
• You must not save to a device, copy, transmit reproduce, distribute or use for a purpose not contemplated by these terms any material (including posts, comments and documents) which appears on a discussion board or ideas board, without our prior written consent.
• At our discretion, we may withdraw the permission of any person to access or use a discussion or ideas board.
• We do not accept any liability for the accuracy or content of any comment or material posted.
• We do not accept liability or responsibility for information or material posted on a discussion or message board and any use or misuse by you or other users of that information or material.

Personal Information and Privacy

By posting on any board, you agree that any comment and other material you post, together with your username, will be able to be view by us and other users participating in the board. You can also view our privacy policy
